At Uncommon Wick, we’re not your ordinary candle company—because I’ve never been drawn to “ordinary.”

I’ve always surrounded myself with beauty: flowers from my garden, whimsical yard art, and meaningful pieces that make a house feel like home. When it came to candles, I didn’t want the typical amber jars, mason jars, or those covered in paper labels. I wanted something different—luxurious vessels that double as décor, designed to live beautifully in any room.

And just as the vessels are intentionally chosen, so are the fragrances. I wanted each candle to carry a soft, relaxing scent—not overpowering, but calming and gift-friendly, perfect for creating an inviting atmosphere in small cozy spaces.

That love for design blends with another part of my story. Years ago, I owned six Hallmark stores, where I fell in love with the power of words. Cards could brighten someone’s day, mark a milestone, or say what we sometimes can’t. Today, I bring that same spirit to my candles—engraving meaningful messages on each lid so that every gift feels personal, heartfelt, and lasting.

Uncommon Wick was born from these passions: a desire for beauty, a love of meaningful words, and the belief that a candle can be more than wax and flame. It can be décor, a message, and a moment of connection.
